There are many best places to visit in Kinnaur, which are one of the best holiday destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The district in mountains of Himalayan hills is located at an elevation of 2,320 m (7,612 ft) to 6,816 m (22,362 ft) above sea level. It is located in the north-east corner of Himachal Pradesh on border of Tibet. Almost whole Kinnaur is covered with snow in winters and mostly glaciers are covered with snow whole year. 1. Reckong Peo

Reckong Peo is famous for great landscape of Kailash Parvat and the Shiviling with forest of Apple orchards, deodar and pine trees.

2. Nako

Nako is a beautiful hill station of Himachal Pradesh around Nako Lake, Nako river and Nako monastery. It is located in Hangrang Valley at an altitude of 3,662 m (12,014 ft). It is the largest village at highest altitude is one of the best places to visit in Kinnaur. It is base camp to Reo Purgyal Trek, the highest peak of Himachal Pradesh at elevation of 6,816 m (22,362 ft) above sea level.

3. Kalpa

6. Sarahan

Sarahan is the spiritual site of Bhimakali Temple or Bhimadevi Temple dedicated to goddess mother Bhimakali. It is one of the Lord Shiva’s 51 Shakti Peethas with many ancient temples. Sarahan is a very remote village just 116 Km away from Kinnaur city. It is located at an altitude of 2,448 m (8,868 ft) just 7 Km above Sutlej river, is also known as “gateway of Kinnaur”.

7. Chango

Chango is a beautiful hill station which is one of the best places to visit in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is located 122 Km away from Kalpa at an altitude of 3,058 m (10,033 ft) above sea level. Chango is situated on the left bank of Spiti river. 8. Kothi

The Nichar Village is situated in the middle of Wangtu and Taranda on Shimla to Kinnaur route. It is on the left bank of Sutlej river located at an elevation of 2,448 m (8,031.5 ft) above sea level. Day 2 [15 Km Trek]: Charang to Lalanti, Camping in Lalanti at 4,572 m (15ooo ft).

Day 3 [20 Km]: Lalanti to Chihitkul, via lalanti pass at 5,182 m (17,000 ft)
